Today we began watching an awesome 2005 documentary called A Map for Saturday. This film documents a young backpacker's solo trip around the world and the journeys of those he meets along the way. This film not only makes a good case for traveling, but it also makes several connections to our novel (and the essay we read at the beginning of the unit.)
